Well, there goes the NBA season down the drain!
In the latest press conference the players held earlier today, the players rejected the NBA’s “ultimatum” and choose to decertify, therefore filing an anti-trust lawsuit against the NBA. They feel that they have negotiated in “good-faith” and have given back billions, but that wasn’t enough for the owners, as they wanted the players association to accept an ultimatum, instead of negotiating for a new deal.
Now the courts will decide…which is what some smaller market owners wanted the whole time. Unfortunately for the league and fans, this process will take a while, as David Stern will have no choice and cancel games through Christmas and beyond…therefore ending the season (potentially).
