You always hear of rappers dropping mixtapes, but how often do you hear about a saxophone artist dropping a mixtape?
In a release that’s a first of its kind (seriously, type in “sax mixtape” in google and see how many mixtapes pull up), vsaxmusic.com founder Mr. VSax releases his first ever mixtape, titled #THEMVSAXCOVERS. For more personal insight on the concept of this mixtape, CLICK HERE.
In #THEMVSAXCOVERS (them-vsax-covers), Mr. VSax releases 15 tracks, most of them are chart-topping hits that were remade with the saxophone sound. Songs are from various genres, including Pop, R&B, African, Christian, and “late ’80′s – early ’90s” R&B. Songs covered include Adele’s “Someone Like You”, DBanj’s – “Oliver Twist”, Frank Ocean’s “Thinking About You”, Keith Sweat’s “Make It Last Forever”, and many more…including Mr. VSax’s Whitney Houston tribute, plus a personal message that is worth listening.
